Overview
Marjoram is a small shrub that grows to a height of 16 - 20 inches. The stem is small, quadrangular and branched with opposing, small oval leaves that are a greyish color. The roots are clustered and slender. The flowers are fixed and are white with shades of red. They are grouped together in a spike-shaped arrangement on the tips of the secondary branches. Marjoram is widely used in cooking to flavor dishes. Furthermore, it has digestive and diuretic properties.
