Overview
Peppermint is a herbaceous plant, 20 - 24 inches tall and has a branched, fibrous root. Its branched stem is squarish, upright and is either green or violet in color. The leaves are serrated and opposed on the plant. The flowers are either rose-violet or whitish in color and are almost always sterile. They group together on small spikes protruding from the plant which flowers in July.
