Overview
Habanera English daisy is a compact growing, 6 in. tall biennial or perennial flower which thrives in cooler weather. It is grown in a similar manner as pansies. Plants produce huge quantities of large 2 in. wide, quilled double flowers from early spring to early summer. Bloom colors include red, rose, white with red tips, and white. Plants will often self-sow. Habanera English daisy is an outstanding performer in containers. Also grows nicely at the front of borders or with spring bulbs. Plants prefer regular moisture. In warm climates provide afternoon shade. Perennial in cooler areas, biennial where summers are warm. Maintenance Notes
Plant English daisy in well-drained, evenly moist soil for best results. English daisy does not appreciate drought, and likes consistently moist soil, so make sure to water it during droughts. For the best display of flowers, plant it in full sun. It can take part shade, and actually will perform better when sheltered in hot places.
